This was a fun, relatively simple page to draw. The intent was to find some creative ways to visually represent emptiness. The ninja went on strike in the early 90s. Mike and the Ninja, as we established previously when we discussed the joke about Terrell Owens, probably takes place sometime in the early 2000s. So, ninja headquarters has sat dormant for a decade or more. It's a big building, capable of accomodating a lot of people, once bustling with activity at the height of the ninja's power. Now, it stands empty, full of cobwebs, empty chairs, and bags of snacks that expired years ago. (Well, not the Twinkies.)
One small detail that strikes me as funny: Stu has a key to the front door. Now that I think about it, I feel as though the only way in or out of ninja headquarters should have involved sneaking, in some way.
