Original Release Date: July 7, 2010
Check out the professional wrestling-influenced panel three, where Stu has Evil Bad Guy Ninja in an ankle lock submission hold. I don't like the font I used on the sound effect accompanying it, though--too pointy and illegible.
Bob fills the role of Emperor Palpatine during this fight, and I really like the taunts he throws out. It's all going swimmingly until we learn something is not quite right here when the detached piece of Bob's tie disintegrates. I wanted a sort of comical, slapstick, accidental reveal of Bob's secret. It's so common for the top bad guy in a story to get overconfident and spill the beans about everything when he has the good guys where he wants them, but I wanted Bob to be too calculating to make that kind of mistake. He does still explain everything, but it isn't until later on, after his operation has already been compromised.
One problem I consistently had with drawing Bob was the size of his torso. He's supposed to be a pretty large guy, and sometimes he looks pretty large, but other times, his head just looks way too big for the body he is supposed to have. I never really got it worked out, and I should have taken more time to make sure his appearance was consistent.
