So, the idea here is that Ohtani's plan is convoluted and, well, questionable, at best. It's the best thing he and Renee could come up with in the short amount of time available to them. I watch a lot of Star Trek, and that show is full of convoluted plans that, somehow, almost always work, especially when the Enterprise is less than 30 seconds from obliteration. I wanted to turn that idea on its side by having Mike immediately question the plan, and then have Ohtani tell him outright that there's also a great chance the plan will fail, and that they're all boned. Mike has to appreciate his honesty, at least. Mike's question (and Evil Bad Guy Ninja's cold-hearted agreement with Ohtani's first suggestion) also keeps things interesting, and prevents this page from being solely an exposition dump.

Reading order in panel one is a bit ambiguous, but otherwise, I'm pretty okay with this page. My eye is particularly drawn to Mike's posture and expression in the last panel. He's not stiff and is visibly engaged in the conversation. I'm quite happy with how that turned out.
