This is one of the few instances of the Chaos Effect that we see. I like the idea of two factions are fighting, and then some third power intrudes on the proceedings. I used to make a joke about the Super Bowl or other big sporting events--if I didn't like either team in the contest, I would wish that a third team would mysteriously appear and beat BOTH the other teams.

Drawing the big spider coming out of the ground didn't turn out as well as I would have liked, but it's serviceable. I would have liked to have seen a bigger, better hole in the ground with the spider actively crawling out of it, and a lot more rocks and flying debris in the air.
