I'm fairly certain that Mike's line about Stu scaring all of the people off of the bus was inserted late in the production of this page so that I--yes, you guessed it--wouldn't have to draw a bunch of people on the bus. Again, laziness, rushing the production, and lack of confidence in drawing bystanders strikes back! And once again, I regret it. It does make sense if Stu has already been in three fights on this journey, but the bus, and the world, would have felt much more alive if I had manned up and drawn more people.

I am proud of the exchange between Mike and Stu on this page, especially Mike's "everything's a sordid tale with you" line. I dunno. It's in the vain of a really natural, conversational insult that I have used before, and I feel like an irritated Mike would use it, too.

For the last panel, I tried to think of the most in-context 80s situation possible, and four ninjas in a 4x4 listening to Duran Duran is what popped in there. The truck is based on Marty McFly's truck from Back to the Future.
