This comic was a lot of fun to draw. It's a significant departure from what I was typically drawing at the time, so not only was it refreshing from an artistic standpoint, it also put my creativity to the test--I had to come up with some outlandish scenarios for Mike and Stu.

I'm not sure what readers thought when they first started reading this page. Did they think it was real? I used a common cartoon trope in which a character thinks of the worst possible scenario, and the scene cuts away to an imagining of that situation playing out. But, this page begins with that imagining already in progress, so it creates the illusion that perhaps this is really happening. It isn't until the last panel that we discover this is just Mike's idea of what will probably happen.
