His Fears Confirmed
Original Release Date: August 5, 2009
This page is fairly standard, and I wouldn't have much to say about it if not for an error in the artwork that led to an unexpected character development a few pages later.
In panel four, the guy holding Mike and Stu sticks a gun in Mike's back. The only problem is that he's still holding both Mike and Stu--their arms are pinned in the last panel. So how is he also sticking a gun in Mike's back? I didn't realize this was happening until after the page was already completed and published. Too bad I didn't have a continuity editor to double-check this one for me.
When this goon next appears, it is revealed that he has four arms and is called the Fourman, which explains how he was able to hold two guys and a gun at the same time. Honestly, I probably could have just gotten away with the artwork gaffe without anybody drawing attention to it, but I felt I had drawn myself into a corner and had to come up with some explanation as to the appearance of the gun. I wouldn't necessarily call it a happy accident, as the Fourman is only a slightly above-average goon with minor impact on the plot, but it certainly became a creative, if not convoluted workaround to account for an artwork blunder.
