Original Release Date: August 17, 2010
We get a little bit of information on what Bob and Todd are up to here, but many questions are left unanswered to build suspense. We also learn Bob is technologically challenged--even the biggest, baddest dudes have a deficiency somewhere. It gives him some basic character development, too.
This page is a good example of getting Bob's torso size wrong, like I mentioned a few pages back. It's on the small size here.
On the other hand, I really like these backgrounds. Mechanical backgrounds are fun and not too difficult--they can be filled with lots of crazy panels and fasteners, and don't need a lot of explanation, or to abide by architectural standards. The only downside is that they can be time-consuming. I flipped back and forth between freehanding these lines and using a straight-edge, depending on how much of a perfectionist I was on a given day. The straight-edge approach obviously takes more time, but the lines are much cleaner.
