Strange Things are Afoot at the Sass 'n Gas
Original Release Date: July 28, 2004
Let's talk about disguises in cartoons for a moment. They always work, no matter how terrible they are. Irrational Robot Antagonist knows this and takes full advantage. The disguise is also completely unnecessary, as he could have simply muscled his way into doing what he was going to do, anyway. His irrationality at work, I suppose? It's a funny bit because it's so stupid and over the top. Really, who would fall for this?
We're a little lacking in backgrounds again here. This is another 24-hour comic, and we're not three in, so I'm sure my focus and attention to detail were at a minimum at this stage of the day.
Also, I love that the sass of the Sass 'n' Gas employees is just an act. Imagine a disgruntled employee not wanting to sass the customers. I feel like under most circumstances, that's exactly what they would want to do.
