Assuming I'm using it correctly, "Teishi" means "stop." I looked it up! Also, the little mask crests of The Six are marked with the Kanji for numerals one through six. Again, this is assuming I used them correctly.
The expression "Holy crap!" sees a lot of play in Mike and the Ninja. One of The Six uses it here (translated from Japanese, of course), the bee that would go on to birth Bee Man in Volume 2 uses it (translated from the secret language of bees, of course), and Mike and Stu also both use it in Volume 2. There's no real reason for it, other than the fact that I think it's funny when delivered with the right energy. It needs to be either highly understated or highly overstated for it to work.
This page is my homage to Godzilla, with his adversaries, King Ghidorah and Gigan, making a cameo appearance as the ancient monsters from beyond who ravaged Japan a thousand years ago. They turned out really nicely. I do hate the smoke in panel two, though. I tried to do it digitally, and it didn't meet my expectations. At least the monsters look good to draw attention away from it.
