I wanted to do something special for the 250th page of Mike and the Ninja, so, with Mike taking his ball and going home, I created a tribute/parody of the old Marvel covers where they would tease a team break-up or a character death or whatever. But, if you actually read the comic, the team wouldn't really break up, or it wasn't actually Professor X who died, but a robot who kind of looked like him. It was a fun project, and a bit of a departure from what I was used to, especially since it was in color, which turned out nicely. I rarely work in color, so it is challenging when it comes up.

If I'm remembering correctly, this page came out the week of Cape Comic Con 2012, and I had commemorative prints of it for sale at the show, and did get a couple of people asking if it was really ending.
