Original Release Date: February 5, 2013
This part of the fight has strange pacing, as well. The other three goons stand and wait while Stu and Evil Bad Guy Ninja duel with Grant? It is possible they're just staying out of the way of these knives flying through the air and then telekinetically changing direction--I can see how one might not want to get too close. Plus, fights are hard to judge, as well. This entire page may not take more than six or seven seconds to elapse in real time. To me, it feels a little slow, but I am my own harshest critic, by far. It might be fine.
I find it a little weird that the "POW" sound effect in panel six is obscured by Stu's word balloon. I don't remember if that was an intentional stylistic choice, or if it was just sloppy panel composition.
When all is said and done, the Hypergoons have Stu and Evil Bad Guy Ninja's number this time. During their first fight, it isn't until Evil Bad Guy Ninja appears that the ninja get the upper hand. In this fight, both ninja are there from the beginning, but the Hypergoons still get the best of them. They appear to be more prepared this time, which I like because it shows some character development. The Hypergoons were pummeled in the first fight, but this time, they are ready.
