The first panel of this page is really hackneyed. Stu's like about that being some energy discharge was a last-minute addition that stemmed from my lack of confidence in the artwork on the previous page. Suddenly, I wasn't sure that readers would know what the energy discharge from the Chaos Drive was or how to react to it, so I added this line for Stu identifying what just happened. The line wasn't necessary, and looking at it now, it just seems silly.

Fortunately, the suspense-driven end of the page makes up for the shaky beginning. I wanted to find a way to work a fight between Stu and Evil Bad Guy Ninja into this volume, but with them being on the same side for the duration of the story, I had to get creative. The idea of Renee and Ohtani's plan not working was introduced by Mike some pages ago, and his skepticism is proven correct here. The Six are shaken loose from the Viisi scientists, but they manage to possess Evil Bad Guy Ninja before fading into the ether. It seemed like the perfect way to force a brawl out of our two favorite ninja.
