At this point in the history of Mike and the Ninja, it's unusual for a page to have so little dialogue. I would like to believe that means that I was learning to tell a story more so with the artwork and less with an endless swarm of word balloons.
The buttons on the control panel are modeled after the buttons from an arcade game. Although, you have to wonder, why didn't Renee use those "fire" and "missile" buttons to stop the truckers? She wouldn't have even needed to use them directly on the trucks, if she was feeling nonviolent--she could have caused a rockslide or something, at the very least. Then again, I get the impression she may not use this particular bank of buttons very often.
The simplicity of the punchline is good. I like that. A simple response to a nearly catastrophic end.
